Vaughan Constructions is thrilled to announce that ground has been broken at Star of the Sea College for the exciting new Nano Nagle Centre.
Working in partnership with Gallagher Jeffs, we will deliver a multi-level, purpose-built facility that includes a revitalised Sebastian Hall and a flexible gym space featuring two full-size courts and 900 retractable seats, creating a hub capable of hosting school-wide events and assemblies.
Our team has already completed the demolition of the existing Sebastian Hall and commenced retention and foundation piling works for the basement level. The dynamic new building, designed by PMDL McGlashan Everist, will provide contemporary spaces that foster creativity, collaboration, and learning, while supporting the College’s future growth.
With experience constructing high-quality educational facilities for some of Victoria’s most prestigious schools, Vaughan Constructions understands the complexities of delivering projects in live school environments. We pride ourselves on carefully planned and staged works that minimise disruption to school operations, uphold stringent safety standards for students, teachers, parents, and the wider community, and strengthen our relationships with school partners through open collaboration.
Lorien Dalmau, General Manager VIC at Vaughan Constructions, commented:
“Our reputation in the education sector comes from successfully delivering complex school projects in live environments, always with a focus on safety, careful staging, and minimal disruption to learning. Partnering with Star of the Sea College on the Nano Nagle Centre is a privilege, and we’re proud to bring our expertise to such a significant development. This new facility will not only enhance the College’s learning environment but also reflect our commitment to building safe, inspiring spaces for students and school communities.”
